deeh is a personal adventure. After two decades in corporate marketing (and years of making bags by moonlight for family and friends), I’m charting a new course. Equipped with little more than the bare essentials – a pocketful of ideas, a pair of crafty hands, and some sewing skills I learned from my grandmother – I’m pursuing the creative passion that brings me joy: making bags that bring others joy. Aside from motherhood – and perhaps dark chocolate – I can think of no greater satisfaction than to present someone a beautiful, functional handmade bag in which they can carry the things they adore.
kaydeeh is about handcrafted bags for the adventures of life. From concept to construction, every bag is born in my Little Rock studio and crafted by the impeccable kaydeeh team. Because we genuinely love what we do, each bag is infused with the care and enthusiasm of its maker. We use the highest-quality natural and sustainable materials we can find, such as vegetable-tanned leather, waxed cotton canvas and organic cotton and hemp. As a result, kaydeeh bags are gentle on the environment but plenty tough to handle the demands of your busy life.
In the same way I used scraps of fabric to create my very first bags, we are all stitching together the life we want. And as trite as it may sound, I believe a good bag can make life easier. That’s why kaydeeh bags are meant to speak to the restless spirit in all of us . . . the adventurer who needs a faithful bag on her shoulder.
As a working mom, I’ve discovered that launching a business is even more challenging than I anticipated, but – as with virtually any labor of love – it’s in equal measure more rewarding. Following many months of hard work, I am pleased to introduce the flagship line of kaydeeh bags. I hope you’ll find the bags are fun, durable and perfectly imperfect, just like every good woman I know!
